Youth organisation to hold run in October – SABERKAS Unit Borneo Eco Trek

SIBU: The Sarawak United National Youth Organisation (Saberkas) is anticipating more participants from across the nation for its Eco Trek 9th anniversary run this year.

The event this time will take place at 10am on Oct 13 at Sarawak Full Gospel Church, Mile 23 Sibu-Bintulu Road.

Organising chairman, Linda Tang said the organisation’s previous runs usually attracted about 300 participants.

“This time we are targeting 400 participants as the event is open to anyone interested,” she said.

The event is divided into three categories of short (45 minutes), medium (1 1/2hours)and long runs (2 1/2 hours).

“We are accepting up to 70 participants only for the long run due to the time constraints as there will be a dinner for all participants in the evening,” she said.

The dinner will be held at the Paramount Hotel.

Linda said registration is now open to those interested and the closing date is Sept 1.

The entry fee is RM50 and every participant will be given a hash run T-shirt and entry to the dinner.
